JANITORIAL – Lamanteen Magnum Jr.

Lamanteen Magnum Jr. is known at the Greenville News by the greeting he provides daily to those who cross his path as they enter the building for work:  “Good morning, friend.”  In doing so, Lamanteen has provided not only hard work, but a change in people’s attitudes as they enter the building every day.  The full impact of Lamanteen’s attitude was clearly expressed in December 2007 when The Greenville News named Lamanteen its “Employee of the Month.”  At the meeting where the award was announced, numerous Greenville News employees spoke of how Lamanteen’s daily attitude while cleaning the building changed their perspective on the day ahead.
